BREEDING GUIDELINES

Here are some basic guidelines to help you through our breeding process:

STEP 1: Is your mare suitable for breeding?  Before arriving your mare should have a current reproductive exam, testing negative to breeding transmitted diseases and infection.

STEP 2: Thorough read our Breeding Contract. If you agree to our terms, please submit your Booking Form with booking fee. Before your mare is bred, we will require a completed Breeding Contract and the balance of your service fee finalised.

STEP 3: Prior to arrival of your mare, we suggest having your mare scanned for ovulation and cycle information. Your mare will be covered once your she cycles. After 16-21 days from when your mare was last served she can be taken home for pregnancy testing. Or alternatively we can have pregnancy tested for you. Vet fees will apply.

STEP 4: By this time we should be congratulating as your mare should be in foal. At this point you will need to let us know if you would like us to provide you with the registry information or wait until the foal is born.

If you have any questions throughout the process, please do not hesitate to ask.

We use Gympie Veterinary Services; they do have a Hendra Policy. Please contact them if you have any questions.
